What We believe

We Believe…in the one true and living God, Maker of all creation the All-Knowing, All-Powerful, everywhere-present, Eternal Father; the source of all goodness, truth, and love; who has manifested Himself in His Son, Jesus Christ, for the purpose of redemption and as the Holy Ghost for the purpose of intervening in the lives of people.

 (Duet. 6:4, II Cor. 13:14, I Tim. 1:173:16,

6:13-16)

We Believe…in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which declares Him to be the only begotten Son of God, who was born of a virgin and who lived to show us the words and works of God. As the Savior, He was crucified and died on the cross in our place to be the supreme sacrifice for sin. He was buried in a tomb but rose again the third day, as the Scriptures foretold, and is now exalted as the King of Kings and the Lord of lords. As God manifested in flesh, He is true God and true man; in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. (Acts 10:38-40, I Cor. 15:1-4; Col. 2:9)

We Believe…in the Original Apostolic Plan of Salvation, proclaimed on the day of Pentecost on the birthday of the New Testament Church, which includes faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, sincere repentance, water baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ, and receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost with the joyous experience of speaking supernaturally in other tongues-just as the believer did in the first century.

 (Acts 2:1-39; 10:44-48)

 The Love of Christ

 John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Love is both an attribute of God and a description of His being. He alone is the epitome (perfect example) of divine love and the source of all true love. His love is unconditional and consistently seeks the highest good of the one who is loved. Illustration: God’s love was clearly demonstrated at Calvary when Jesus died for all our sins (1 John 3:1) Application: Because God first loved us, we ought to love others as well (I John 4:11Ref.
